"There you are. Electronic television." Only 21 years old in 1927 and Philo Farnsworth invented TV. He made it seem like it was no big deal. The world made it seem like he was no big deal…but he was. He was only 14 when the idea for the picture tube came to him while he was looking out over a plowed field. By 21 he had a working model of a television. He invented TV. Did he get credit? NOT EVEN!

Two other people took credit for being the "fathers" of television. While failure may be an orphan, success, it seems, has many fathers.

It’s a bit too late, but Philo’s finally getting credit. He may have battled depression and corporate lawyers for much of his life, but his invention changed the face of communications forever. Better late than never. And maybe we could all do better in recognizing the contributions of everyone, doing whatever it is that makes them shine.
